Hello all,

I have a couple of question regarding the CISSP and SSCP. I was wondering of someone could answer the following. I am a CCNA and am currently studying for the CCNA security exam will I hope to pass soon. I have about 6 years experience is I.T from 1st line to 3rd including Micrsoft ISA & Cisco routers and switches and the usual MS products AD, Exchange etc. I would like to get more involved in security but I would like to get a little more hans on experience. I have been told that the two top qualification are the Cissp and the SSCP, where the SCCP is more hands on.
IS this correct, are these exams theory based, I means are these security principles for managers etc or are do these teach actually security techniques that can be used with the IT industry for example technique and sodtware/hardware to deploy

Thanks

You need 5 years of experience with 2 or more of the 10 Common Body of Knowledge domains and be endorsed by an ISC certified professional just to take the CISSP... SSCP takes 1 year of experience in 1 CBK domain, still need the endorsement though.
