Hi all,

Can someone tell me what CCMS is for the J1XX series sipphones?
When registering a J1XX SIP phone to the pbx there always follows an invite to the pbx to the CCMSinterface.

This is standard procedure and works out of the box on a local setup.

We are trying to configure the phones now for remote use.
Phones -> internet -> FW -> SBC -> IPO
Registration is successfull (200OK from PBX.) but the phone is stuck on 'loading configuration' and does not go further.
-> also the phone is not visible in the SSA/Monitor although the ipo has send a 200ok for the registration... :p

We see that the sip invite regarding the CCMSInterface from softphone to pbx containing is not getting through the SBC.
Can this be the reason it is not working?

Thank you.

Regards.

Maarten.

On the IP Office, J100 IP Phones use CCMS over SIP mode, which provides an extended feature set. It uses ports 5060 or 5061 to send/receive messages to the phone other than normal call setup info.

It's used among other things to send status updates over SIP, which updates User/BLF buttons (on the expansion module too), light the message light etc.

If these messages are not getting through then you would experience issues.
