what is business objects?

Hi,
Could any body tell me what is business objects?
when I search in the google, that link went to business objects site and showing about crystal reports.
I heard business objects is come under dataware housing reporting tool. Is both are different.
when anybody talks about business objects, I am getting so confused.
Please guide me.

BO supplies Business Intelligence software, and since they recently purchased Crystal, they also have great Report Writing capabilities (they used to have their own report writer).

I need detail clarification.
I saw under DW the following things are there.

1. business objects
2. cognos
3. hyperion
4. informatica.
.......


now my question is, is crystal reports comes under DW business objects.
