What is and what can cause Error 2427

I am getting error 2427 when I change the value in a combo box and then click the save button. This is code that has been running fine for much of the development of the app, now suddenly we are almost ready to go live and I see this error.
I repaired the front and back end and havent seen it but will beat it up a bit more. Is it a corruption issue?

its a typical .addnew and .update routine. I will gather the code....but it always ran fine in the de-bugger.

Error 2427 You entered an expression that has no value. Attempting to refer to a control that is non existent causes this error. Is it a subform?
