This is to do with a featurenet system. Our organisation has 2offsite SRU and 1 on site SRU that feed into out featurent system?

SRU - site remote unit, it is a remote processing unit which handles call processing for the local site. I guess that you have quite a large ACD network to have these.

in most switches it would be a remote cabinet or a remote shelf.. just a box controled via your cpu that provides local switching
