I just took a course in sql,sql*plus,pl/sql.I like it but classroom training it's too expensive for me.Do you recomend learning Oracle 8 DBA from books,cd,or web classes?I have no previous programmer experience and i don't work in computer field, but i would like to change my work field.Thank you for your advice!

One of the inexpensive way to learn Oracle 8 DBA is to purchase Oracle Press book. They are very good and useful. However, I ain't sure how much you can learn by just reading the book especially you don't have IT and DBA experience. Hands-on experience is what you need.

Check whether your local community college offers any oracle classes.
