I am trying to find out what this is, & how it is used. However, I cannot really find any articles on this.

Can somebody explain what this is & its usage?
Are there any links to websites which explain this, & its usage? James Goodman

This is a term used to refer to DTS - Data Transformation Services. ie. You feed data in one end (from a wide variety of potential sources) and 'pump' it out the other end into a different format. It's a quite a useful thing, because neither the source or the destination need to be SQL Server.

WROX has a book called "DTS ...."

And here's a web site:

Do you have PowerBuilder in your shop? It actually had a DTS called data pump.
