Hi

I use eudora 5.1 in sponsored mode with WindowsMe. Whilst eudora used to give support they now only offer it to those who have the paid version.

I have managed to ruin the screen layout of the various "panes" and can find no way to restore it to its former condition.

It used to be that there was a small pane at the top left corner with tabs for mailboxes, personalities, etc below which was the obligatory advertisement pane. To the right of these panes was the chosen mailbox with preview pane. Below all of thie above was the Task Status/Errors pane.

Now the mailboxes, personalities, etc and the advertisement panel are not locked in their own screen areas and the chosen mailbox/preview pane extends full width of the screen behind the mailboxes, etc and advertisements.

OK, I can play about with the width of these panels manually but it's not the same.

Can anyone please help me to get it back the way it was? In the halcyon days when eudora supported the sponsored mode this happened and I was talked through a fix by one of their support staff - I wish now that I had taken notes of the fix!

Regards,

Brian3642

Drag the personalities/mailboxes pane to the correct corner and it will lock in place as it gets towards the side of the window.

Drag the adverts pane to its correct location and it will snap into place and it will snap into place.

Shrink the advert pane until it is as small as you can get it and drag it to its proper location.

Dear Brian3642,
Just a thought and I totally agree with jrbarnett (see his great FAQ on security in Eudora faq13-3528),
Back to this thread.
If it is difficult to get the advert to dock, right-click on it (the advert) and it allows you to choose "Allow docking" if that doesn't have a tick, left-click on that pop-up message and it will then snap into place when moved into position.
