What happens if you temporarily run 1 cpu SQL2k5 license on a server with 2 recognized cpu's?

Our server group upgraded our servers with an additional cpu before we purchased an additional license. If we purchase one within the week will we our users see any interuption?

Thank You!
Tim

No. SQL doesn't actually care what license you have as far as limiting access to resources. You simply have to be ligit so you don't get audited and fined.

Technically you are out of complience and if cought you could be fined. Your users won't see any difference at all.
