Hello:
In Vista you are suppose to be able to used the run as command and it will ask you for a password. On this machine it does not ask for password, the person is a power user. Any ideas??? and yes UAC is off and I re enable Administrator account. Thanks

Run As command. Need assistance
thread1583-1418588

Works for me with UAC on and Administrator disabled (see text copy of non-elevated Command Prompt window).

C:\Users\xxxxusername>runas /user:localmachinename\xxxxusername "C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe"

Enter the password for localmachinename\xxxxusername:

Attempting to start C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe as user "localmachinename\xxxxusername" ...

Does it (the program) load elevated for the Power User? What program are you launching, does it need elevation in the first place?
