Hello all,

we are now using AutoCAD Mechanical 2009, but I can't find the 'group command', that I am used to using from LT or 2008.
The closest I can come to something similar to group is 'make block' .... but it's just not the same.

someone suggested 'polyline edit' but that is even worse.

any help / suggestions would be appreciated.

thank you

Hi rollercoasterbuffoon,

I don't think they got rid of it, have tried just typing .group at the command line?

Hello Todd,

thank you for your reply.

yes, typing "group" in the command line does bring up a window for 'object grouping'.
but it wants you to name the group and i have a lot of trouble selecting the objects and going back and forth to that new open window.

the 'old group' method was a simple as right click / choose group.

LT and 2008 may have had the same 'object grouping' choice but the right click version was soooooooooo easy and simple.
