My system gives me a BSOD 3-4 times a day, complaining about something in classpnp.sys. From what I can figure, this has something to do with disk drives.

What can I do to narrow this problem down a bit? Am I looking at a hardware problem?

If/when it happens again I'll copy down everything, but I'm hoping someone can at least give me some ideas.

Thanks.

OS ?
How about a description of your computer ?

> You say:
"If/when it happens again I'll copy down everything..."

that would greatly help.

Is it possible that you have enabled write caching? I saw something relating to this in Q281672 - maybe that article would help.

Try disabling write-behind caching on any removable media drives that you have - especially SCSI devices. This is where I suspect the problem lies, so next step would be to update the drivers for those devices - including the SCSI card, if you have one.

I hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

This problem can occur if the Windows 2000 hard disk driver does not correctly process write caching.

Hopes this helps
