Typically in Arcserve 2000, I get a few skips, but relative to the size of my backups (50-60gb), and the fact that I can't afford open file agents for ALL our servers, I don't really mind 7 skipped files per backup.
However, I notice sometimes I get two different messages, here they are:
1) NYLFBACKUP: Backup Operation Incomplete.
Number of Errors/Warnings: 0/7
or
2) NYLFBACKUP: Backup Operation Incomplete.
Looking through the log files, the 2nd message is spit out when there are 34 skips in the job. I'm wondering why I don't get the extra "Number of Errors/Warnings: 0/34" message like I do when there are 7 skipped files.
Is there a threshold (like maybe 10 skips) that Arcserve uses? For example, maybe after X skips it doesn't bother telling you how many actual files were skipped because they want you to check the job log? If anybody know the answer to this, I'd REALLY appreciate it.
