What does this mean as far as what type circuit this is?

DTI TRK LOOP 29 - ENBL
FFMT/LCMT/YALMT: D4/ AMI/DG2
TRACKING
SERVICE RESTORE: YES
YEL ALM PROCESS: YES
ALARM STATUS : NO ALARM
CH 01 - IDLE TIE 3VCE CH 02 - IDLE TIE 3VCE
CH 03 - IDLE TIE 3VCE CH 04 - IDLE TIE 3VCE
(loop 29 is supposedly my long distance T1. why does it say TIE?) See below:

PRI* TRK LOOP 2 - ENBL
FFMT/LCMT/YALMT: ESF/B8Z/FDL
SERVICE RESTORE: YES
YEL ALM PROCESS: YES
ALARM STATUS : NO ALARM
CH 01 - IDLE DID VOD * CH 02 - IDLE DID VOD
CH 03 - IDLE DID VOD * CH 04 - IDLE DID VOD
(loop 2 is supposedly my tie line T1 to a remote office. why does it say DID?).

Swap your documentation. Problem solved [bigglasses]

Tie = Tie - DID = DID (Long Dist.)

And if you want to know for sure, do a trace on your set and see on which TN you go out of the switch when you dial long dist. and dial the TIE.

i understand the first part and I know for a fact that I do go out over loop 29 but how do i verify I'm going over loop 2 for tieline calls? If i call that remote office and stat the T1, how do i know that's actually me on that channel? and please explain the reason why some channel say VCE and some say VOD and some say 3VOD (what does the 3 mean?)i assume VCE means voice only and VOD means voice or data. But what does the 3 mean? And also, if one of my circuits is VOD can I use half the channels for voice and half for data?

Go into LD 80 and do a trace (as you are making the call):

TRAC 0 DN(that you are calling from) DEV

The printout will tell you on about the third line down what route and route member you are going out on. The prompt is RMBR. If you know your routes, then you are set. If you need to find your loop from there, go into LD 21. At REQ, type LTM. Input your route number, and it will list all the trunk members, and the applicable loop and channels. I could only guess about the 3VOD bit...

Find the TN from which you are calling and go to LD 80.

Type: ENTC TN 2300

then: GOTR

When you are making the call you should see something like this:

[tt].17:19:48 09/09/2003
ACTIVE TN 024 1 13 11
ORIG 024 1 13 11 MARP 0 6610 500
TERM 012 19 DID RMBR 35 19
DIAL DN 00756229411
MAIN_PM ESTD
TALKSLOT ORIG 89 TERM 25
EES_DATA:
NONE
QUEU NONE
CALL ID 632 3197

---- ISDN PRA CALL (TERM) ----
CALL REF # = 8758
BEARER CAP = VOICE
HLC =
CALL STATE = 10 ACTIVE
CALLING NO = 205xxxxxx
CALLED NO = xxxxxxxxx[/tt]

The ORIG should be your TN and the TERM should be one of the TN of your Long Dist. or TIE.

So make a TIE call and look at which TN you terminate that is the TIE and make a long dist. call and that is you DID...
