In my log file I'm getting this kind of error -
"Error Creating tbl_mgr - String or binary data would be truncated ", but it seems that the table is updating correctly.

Following this error, the next error message says - "Error Creating tbl_mgr - The statement has been terminated."

Then the last message is saying that the tbl_mgr has been updated.

Does anyone know why it's doing this? Need help.

i figured out why i was getting those error message. thanks anyway!

hi edderic,

what my program does is it populates a table in our sql server (7.0). i have different fields and each field only allows however many characters you tell it to have. there was one record that had more than 7 characters in the field that only allows 7 char. to be inserted. this record had actually 9 characters. so what i did is i went to the table in the sql server and edited it to allow more than 7 charatcers to be inserted. and that solved my problem.
