Hi all

When i open a .dwg file in illustrator 10, i get prompted to (fit, merge layers, or unite separate paths).

With "unite separate paths" i thought it might "Unite" any anchor points that share the same position, much like the "join" command, but for multiple points.

But I can’t find a use for it as yet.
Does any one know what “unite separate paths” does??

Sorry if i've double posted. Just new to this forum.

On assumption I would render a guess as to say
that if you had seperate paths, several of them, it
would in turn combine them to create one continuous
path making one object.

Well that’s what I'm asking. It sounds like it would do what name suggests, but it does not.

If you took the time to read my Q, what you said is what my problem is. Sorry if that sound offensive. Maybe I’ve stumped everyone here.

Thanks for your input any way.
