This sounds a really stupid question but here goes anyway.

When "delete2 fails and the options are "Exclude" and "Skip", what exactly does exclude mean. Does it exclude it from the computer, i.e. it can't interact with other programs and files or does it mean exclude from further scans or actions?

My first post btw, so hi everyone!

Howdy:

As per the Norton "Help" option.. try it sometime !!

Norton AntiVirus uses the entries in the Exclusions List in all scans it performs. An exclusion is a condition that would normally be detected, but you have told Norton AntiVirus not to check for a particular file or folder.

Therefore, it simply ignores that file during future scans !!

Thanks Murray, I did check the Help file and I thought that's what it meant. It was context it appeared in that confused me.

I'll have to get back to the person who asked me the question and ask them to clarify.
