I successfully created an update functionality to my form using Access'97 and VBA.
But once I clicked on the "Save" button, I got the following message:

"The Microsoft jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time"

The record is saved successfully, no one else is working on this application/database so what is the message refering to? I'm confuse and don't know where to start my debug. Has anyone ever had this kind of message? Please help - Alec

If you look in the directory that the database is located in, you should see a file called dbname.ldb, where dbname is the name of your file.

If you open that with a text viewer, you should be able to see 'who' Access thinks is using the file. That might give you a clue.

Alos, if you shut down access and the .ldb file remains - you can delete it.

This might not be the problem though, just a thought . . .
