Can anyone suggest what you call the field that holds:

Mr.
Ms.
Mrs.
Dr.
Sr.

etc....??

Microsoft calls it
Title Of Courtesy

PaulF

Yeah, I thought of that too, Nick, but that's really "Dear Bob", or just the "Dear" part.

I'll take Paul's advice. THANKS!!

I usually call it a prefix. Then I have the 3 name fields, first, middle, last, then the suffix.

People who are insercure and have to use a prefix, title or suffix before or after there name to feel important and not to be included on my christmas card list ?

I've used Title in code, but make sure you change the label to say "Mr./Mrs./Dr." or something similar, or your users will put all kinds of stuff in there (Jr., Receptionist, Grandmother, etc).

Thom: I meant Sr. as in Sister. You know: Sister Mary Kate or whatever.

bonrus: I like prefix, too.

JoyInOK: Got ya.

The DB is a non-prof organization (I think) and it isn't mine. If they want that field, I guess they get it. I definitely question some of their tables, tho. You should see it. YUK!
