What does DCD down mean? I get this when I do a sh int in my cisco 7000 router.

All the other ones are up, except this one and i believe this is why this interface is down. Can anyone help?

I'm sure you already have an answer to your question, but DCD is Data Carrier Detect. When this is up, the router has detected the presence of a carrier signal.

This signal is generated by the DCE device (modem) when it detects that it has established a connection with the remote DCE device (other modem). It should only come up after the modems have negotiated speed, parity, etc.
