WHAT DOES ACID STAND FOR??

Any help with this is appreciated. I know it is related to acd sets but dont know what it stands for.

An ACD number is a number that defines a group.
ACD sees to that calls are distributed to different agents
within this group after the rules you have set up.

Even if different agents is working within the same ACD group they still need to have an own identification.

ACID is the unique ID of all agents that has the ACD feature on their extensions.

The PBX/ACD system needs the ACID to be able to handle queues and send the calls to the right agents.

Simply a way to be able to send the calls the right way within the groups.

ACID is the unique identifier of a position in an ACD and is fixed to one TN. So if you print a DND on an ACD Q # you will see an ACID for each Q phone

If you print a TNB you will see this is set on key 0 of the ACD position

Depending how the SCB is set up in LD23,

for AID = No the ACID is what you will get on your stats
for AID = Yes you will see an Agent ID on your stats

Can ACIDs have names assigned to them? If so, which LD do you go into in order to assign them?

Better question, which LD do you go into in order to see all the ACIDs that are assigned in the entire system?

i don't think you can name an agent id, but the command for names is ld 95 req=new cust=0 the enter the dn return enter the name as you want it to appear and press enter twice.. normally this is for numbers that are dialable, acd- dns acod's and dn's can be named
