This topic has come up before and while there have been a number of answers there were really no difinitive resolutions.
Assuming one has one or more production servers that might have their production data/programs backed up daily, but what if a disaster occurs and an image of that server must be put into production asap? I would assume that periodically a complete image backup must be made sometime and then used to restore to a new/different machine.
What methods/techniques and/or facilities do you use to accomplish this task? And, have you ever tried a full restore/recovery with it?
Please advise/discuss?
Thanks.
