what do i do with my XML document

Ive got this huge project to do and i dont know what im doing!

Ive got a ton of data that can be output in XML format and from wha I am reading, it seems like if I want to parse the data further, I should use XML. The question is, what the heck do i do with the XML document?

Do i just view it in a browser? what?

I am using an SGI on an IRIX platform.
