Hello, I am VERY new to servers and Networking, so here goes.

I just purchased a PC with 2000 Server on. I need to add the pc's around the office to it so we can run a single program (a booking system) from the server and open it on each PC. How do I go about it...?

I have wireless network cards in all the pc's which are talking to my access point and then thought the LAN. Got that bit to work, just not sure what process I need to go through to get them all talking to each other.

I know that I need to tell each PC what the domain is, and I think I know how to do that... (I am using XP and 98)

ANY help on this matter would be great.

Cheers

You will need to assign IP address range for all the machines. EX: 192.168.1.X Sub 255.255.255.0 then you will need to setup DNS on your server and point all of your client machines to that servers IP address in their DNS. You need to setup the clients user name and password on the server and then setup the clients to log to your domain and you should be up.

Thanks for the quick reply,

But I am still not sure about how to go about it... Like I said I am very new to this stuff.

Do you know to a tutorial on how to do it. With Detailed examples, like go to Active Directory and then Bla Bla Bla, Then go to the Desktop Pc and go to such and such and do this.......

Cheers
