What do do when nobody can remember the sa password

NObody remembers the sa password that has been changed recently. How do I go about loging on to the server?

Do you have System Administrator privileges for SQL Server? If so, you should be able to log on and change the SA account password.

OK. Windows authentication.

I was going a looong way: log in OSQL using a trusted connection, create a user, add him to the sys admin server role, login as the user and change the password. I hoped that would have worked...
