When I list my devices with lsdev -C , I get the message "lsdev: 0514-521 Cannot find information in the predefined device configuration database for the customized device rcon0."

I don't know what this is, so I tried to remove it from the customized devices (CuDv) object class:
1. odmget CuDv >/tmp/cudv
2. vi /tmp/cudv # remove the rcon0 stanza
3. odmadd /tmp/cudv

This works OK, but after a reboot, the device is back again.
If anyone:
a) knows what this is, and/or
b) how to get rid of it
I'd be very grateful.

TIA
Mark

I think I've worked this all out now, so for the benefit of others, the answers are:

a) I installed some trial software called 'DoubleVision' which had a messy uninstall, and this is the prime suspect for creating the rogue device.

b) I went through the same series of steps with ODM edits, except this time I ran savebase at the end, so that changes were saved to the boot device.

After rebooting, the device was no more.
