What determines if a published HTML requires OWC to interact?

Hi All,

I know very little about OLAP, but am t-shooting a certain problem.

On our intranet is about a dozen OLAP cubes/Pivot tables; that were published from Excel into HTML.

Some are viewable, but others give Need Office Web Components or Unable to connect to datasource errors.

Mainly I am wondering why OWC is needed on some but not others??

Do those who can't access it have the same MS Office version as those who can?
