what creates bookmarks

Im using Acrobat 5 and I just created a large PDF document by combining 30 or 40 chapters (individual PDF documents) that were created with word97 and then printed to PDF documents. When I created this document about two thirds of the individual pdf chapters ended up with bookmarks in the final "big" document, but a third did not. How can I make the other documents include bookmarks in the "big" document automatically, without having to go through and individually create them every time?

Hello,
Make sure when you print the PS file that you have book
marks chosen. This will be an option if your printer driver
you are using has this option.
