What components have been installed via Internet Explorer ?

Does anybody know if there is a way of telling what software has been installed when browsing. You know what I mean... when you are browsing and are prompted to install the software and accept the site certificate.

My main reason is I would like to check exactly what has been installed when browsing and if it is possible to remove.

Any help would be grateful, thanks.

I have found some useful software which finds out the information I need and can also resolve, it is called Adware.
