Hello,

I have a new remote office and I have a few questions on what cisco equipment I should purchase. I currently have a Pix515e unlimited at my corporate office. I currently have a pix501 and 1760 router at other remote locations but they're only supporting approximately five users. Could I use a standalone 851W(or similar) and still configure a secure site to site vpn connection to encrypt the data and have secure communications? Or would I better off buying a pix and putting a router behind it?

Thanks

Depends on the image in the 851---you can build a site-to-site between a PIX and a router, though, and encrypt with IPSEC. Couple of links...

and the feature navigator to determine the IOS imge...

and finally...

crap---broken link. Anyway, that should get you going.
