I am getting high transmit errors on one of my switch ports. It has peaked in the 7500 range. Can anyone tell me why this happens? I am not getting any Receive errors, just transmit. thanks!

Number of transmit errors that occurred on the port (indicates that the internal transmit buffer is full).

great, thanks. Any ideas on how to fix it? Would it have anything to do with duplex mismatches? thanks

Not really duplex mismatches. You could set up pbr (policy based routing), which would prioritize the traffic type NOT giving you a issue, thus limiting traffic that is causing the buffer overflows.

PBR is a layer three technique. I don't know that it would have all that much use in solving this particular layer two problem.

Prizmm, can you paste the output of the interface statistics?
