If it's in Access, then you've probably got too many users attached to the db or too many forms open at the same time. Access is really only a desktop db.
If it's not Access you need to explain a bit more!

If present, deleted the *.Ldb file in the same directory as the *.Mdb. Do this when no users are logged in to the MDB.
What server are you using?
If this solves the problem, post back here and I will give you more important information.
