What causes a printer to make a justification error while printing

When I print out sent email in outlook express, the printer does not properly print on the right hand side of a fully justified paragraph. It has a tendency to drop the last two or three letters of a word before it starts on the next line with the sybsequent word....
For Example: "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy ugly dog, steals his bone and sleeps in the dog hou before checking out the hen house."

Oddly, this worked for me. Please do not ask me to explain why.

Open notebook, and set the default font and point size to a non-fixed font, I used Garamond at 9 pts.

Save.

Reboot.

Try again.
