I am developing asp.net application - want to use client-side VBscript to access the common dialog object (Save as, Open file). Actually have the script working just fine on my XPpro machine. But the problem comes when exposing the web application to clients with, say, Windows 98 operating systems. I need to know what scripting objects I can rely on to be available (installed) given Internet Explore 5.01 or better. Also - where can I find documentation on these objects? Merci.

The situation is this. Common dialog theoretically needs design-time licence on the host station. But, since ms makes available vb5 control editor for free, it is practically agree to give away that licence for the community using ie. To embed the licenced control in the web page, you use the object tag with the classid and also an object for licence package authoring. Maybe this digression can help you to pick up the essential as shown in the mskb article.
