Hi!!!

I am waiting to buy a CD-R for my system:

AMD 500
AOpen AX59Pro Mboard
Sony CD-ROM
160RAM

My question is now that i have a CD-ROM,how do I connect the CD-R?What cables I need and I had to connect to where?

About the BIOS setting,is it harddisk as the premary master,CD-ROM secondary master and the CD-R secondary slave?

Please help.
Thanks!!!

The drive you buy should have all the instructions with it including a cable, which you won't need. (HP does anyway). Put the CD-R drive as the slave on the same cable going to the CD-ROM drive. Don't put any CD or DVD drive on same IDE cable as a hard drive as your HD will take a pretty large performance hit. Additionally, you should have to change any bios settings. Justin

Sorry, that should be that you should NOT have to change any bios settings. Justin
