I have a particular application, where phone A goes off hook and ring phone B & B can go off hook and ring A, pretty simple & I know most PBX's & Key systems can do that, there are a couple of "hard" parts 1. I want to take the audio of whatever is said over phones A & B to be feed in Real time to some speakers, 2nd I want to have snmp monitoring of the equipment so if there is a problem or other Alarm, we would get notified 3rd that it would fit in a 19" rack, I can find stuff that would fill 1 & 3 but nothing on snmp ability

Avaya IP Office has SNMP MIBs, is 19 inch and the rest is more or less basic stuff.

The same with Nortel BCM

I will have to check with the Avaya folks, the local Nortel dealers said that the BCM didn't have snmp support, I will have to double check with them

The BCM DOES have SNMP support! If your dealer said they don't, tell him to check the docs.

well, I found one solution through cisco that would work, we have some other people coming in from out of state to give us the "Dog & Pony Show" about all the stuff their product can do, I'm going to make a point of talking to the local Avaya Dealer and see what they have to offer
