I thought I could learn this language by tearing apart recorded macros. This helped. Then I tried using the "Object Browser" as a learning tool. This, in my opinion, made things as 'clear as mudd'.

But, after seeing what some of you "Super Heros" know, I know now- I AM LOST.

I have seen the error "Object does not support this property or method" so many times, I considering having a
T-shirt made with this on it!

You guys, however seem to grasp quite well, the applying of Methods and such.

I need something with LOTS of examples and some sort of reference or guide, which takes each Object and shows all it's possible Properties. Then, and most importantly, shows all the possible Methods that can be applied to each Property.

OR! Maybe my Gray Matter is just turing pale and I should consider opening a coffee shop...

Dazed and confused,
Ted

Ted,
That's EXACTLY how I felt when I got started using VBA seriously about 8 yrs ago. Initially, I had some advice from and expert -- "How can I do..." just like you are doing.

I got several VBA books, but two that are most worn are by Walkenbach. They are several versions of Excel old, so he must have ones that reference the latest functionality of Excel.

Hope this helps :) Skip,

Skip,

Thanks for the moral support and the tip.

I have ordered, John Walkenbach's latest:
"Excel 2000 Power Programming With VBA."

John's comment on the book is, "All humility aside, this is my best book ever -- the ultimate VBA book for Excel 97 and Excel 2000. Previous editions of this book have received rave reviews, but this one is easily twice as good as the previous edition."

Best price was from Books-A-Million (Club Member price) on the Web, $35.47, which includes shipping.

Taking it one Cell at a time,
Ted
