What Are VBA .SVP Files?

I am possibly about to move to another department.
They have a windows ERP system that has been expanded using a few VBA programs. These VBA programs are currently maintained by a third party at some expense. I have never worked with VBA before but this might be something I can take on.

The VBA files that get installed into the system have a .svp suffix. Is this the standard VBA executable or does it mean something that they may be packaged in?

VBA does not hold its own executable files per se - the code is compiled within the application itself
