What are the "good" ping response time 1

What is for you the "normal" response time of a ping on Gigabit network, on a 100BaseT network, on 10BaseT network ?
(if we consider that the hosts pinging are well configured)

All should fall to < 1 ms.

I should point out that windows 2000 and earlier MS products only have a resolution of 10 ms. So 2k, NT, 98, and 95 will all show < 10 ms.

As long as you're reading the minimum timer resolution you're good.
