I am curious to find out from everyone what are the most commonly used, most popular and most requested features your customers are asking for in their existing and new telephone system.

What I am looking to find out is a "realistic" view of what is really wanted, used and needed for customers. I have heard of the fancy features that newer systems are offering but it really seems that only a few customers or an employee or two would really use them in the real world. Most of my customers do the following, ANSWER, HOLD, PAGE, PARK, VOICE MAIL, TRANSFER, TRANSFER TO VOICE MAIL. I a seeing an interest now if cell phone transfer and voice mail to email conversion ( unified messaging ).

What do you really see you clients using from the small to large scale clients.

Thanks!

Hold, transfer, conference, redial, forward, vm tranfer, voicemail
park , page, autodial or speed call lists.

there are alot of users that would like to use unified messaging but once they realize that most phone systems have a per user lisence they back off unless its really needed.

"Friends,Romans,Countrymen lend me your ears I come to ask for help and to give it, lets not argue on who is best or worst lets just help each other

Funny yesterday spent 2 hours with a customer that has a Norstar CICS 4x8 that he has for the last 15 years and had to show him how to use it.

Retarding the license fees, why are they there and so expensive?

GREED, when most of the base stopped paying for a maintenance fee ( very profitable source of income ) , they needed some extra $$ to come from somewhere

I am sorry I meant "regarding"

Are there any alternative technical ways to get the voice mail from the users mailbox out to the outside world and converted into an email?
