What are the main advantages of Delphi vs Visual Basic ? 1

Hi, I need support to tell my boss, why I should do the future projects in Delphi instead Visual Basic, He is asking me wich advantages has Delphi over Visual Basic, and also wich major company's in U.S. are using Delphi to program... Thanks Sincerely A.A.
