bramya,

1. What is COBOL23 ?!!
2. Why did you start two threads on the same topic?

Regards,
Ronald.

Yeah, tell us where COBOL 23 is used for example. Is it also an IBM implementation of COBOL? On what machine does it work?

IBM has some migration manuals.....

See also the manuals at

COBOL 23 is really IBM VS COBOL II, release 3.n. It is also referred to as COBOL/2 without the version number ... I think there was a COBOL/2, version 2.0, 3.n and 4.0.

The following site should get you started and linked to more information about the differences with COBOZL/390.

Hope this help you...

Ah, so now look for the migration manuals because for sure there is one that helps you to migrate from COBOL VS II to OS/390 COBOL!

I never knew anybody naming the COBOL VS II a COBOL 23 compiler and I am sure this COBOL 23 is not mentioned in the migration manual. COBOL VS II is!
