I operate a website that offers digital sheet music via PDF. Currently, I have an add-on module that dynamically sets a new password each time a purchased file is accessed. What I would really like is if I could set an "open" password to a PDF file that would expire after it opens the first time. That way, a person makes a purchase, prints the document, and cannot distribute the file afterwords, because the password would be used up. Are there any other options. I am not that well versed in the e-Book world. I have just made my system work as noted above with Adobe Acrobat. It makes illegal distribution hard, but not impossible. Any ideas?
