Well it seems I have no real chance right now of using SQL 7 on my current computer baring getting something new, or paying out the wazoo for microsoft support.

Keep ketting:
Assertion Failed!
Program C;\WINDOWS\MMC.EXE
File:../src/sqlsspi.c
Line 120

What are my options as far as interacting and doing maintenance on my database on my SQL/NT capable web host? Is there no other way for me to get to my database and work on it when I need to (view it, add columns, etc.) ??

Suggestions appreciated.

if you've got Access 2000 goto file, new, project(existing db) and try to connect to it.
Then you can administer it from there.

The microsoft Knowledgebase Article Q267550 say's you can get this error message if you don't have Client For Microsoft networks installed.

Another possibility is that you have the wrong version of Dbmssocn.dll.
