We are using BrightStor ARCserver backup 11.1 on database server running Windows 2003 server. I need to backup Active Directory information (system state) on domain controller. They are on same network but 2 different servers. How can I do it? Do I need to buy agent? Which agent to buy? Will client agent work good on server system? Thanks.

Client Agent is used for Active Directory, System State backups on a remote system. Not sure about licensing. Install it and if you get a license error then you will know it is needed.

As you spoke about database server, if you don't stop the database you should consider to use an appropriate agent ( SQL, Oracle, and/or Open files agent).
