I am working with Macola ES. At some point, an Order cannot be modifiable in the Enter Orders screen (OE0101). What action has been done to make it non-modifiable? Is there a field in the oeordhdr_sql or oehdrhst_sql tables that could tell if an order is now non-modifiable?

How the history table oehdrhst_sql works? Can an order or quote in this table can be active and seen in the Order Entry screen (OE0101)?

Thanks

Sorry, but there is no action that makes an order non-modifiable. Why do you think this is the case?

My guess is you have done some databbase changes "under the hood", either manually or with your code, that affects this in an undesireable way.

Can you start all the way over and tell us what you are trying to accomplish?

If you enter an old order number in the Enter Orders screen, a popup message will be displayed saying "Order no. found in history files, entry not allowed". This is what I meant by saying non-modifiable.

When an quote/order is transfered in the history table?

Open orders are held in OEORDHDR (order header) and OEORDLIN (order lines). When an order is invoiced and posted, it is moved to the equivalent history tables OEHDRHST (order header history) and OELINHST (order line history).

If you subsequently enter an order number into the order entry screen that has been posted, Macola sees that it is in history and displays the message you are seeing. This is to prevent you entering an order number that has already been invoiced and posted.

Typically you would not want to modify an order that has been invoiced and posted as that could make it different than the invoice the customer has. To affect an order that has been invoiced and posted, you could enter a credit (in Order Entry) and apply it to it. You an also enter debit and credit memos on the AR side, but these don't directly impact OE. Anything else would require a new order be entered using a new order number.
