Am I missing something. I design my pages using Frontpage, okay it's old version 3. I then publish it, it puts it in a folder, okay so far. I upload it using FREEFTP.exe (which my Firewall is going ape with, as there is so much other traffic from FREEFTP??. It does not appear on the web. I then find I have to put in extra HTML to point to my ISP website provider. I then want to modify the design, use Frontpage, then publish again and its wiped out all my previous HTML bits. Can someone tell me what the secret is in 2005 to work on pages, upload them, see them. Why does Microsoft go round in circles to confuse everyone. Thanks

I'm not sure about that old of a version, but in the newer Frontpage versions, you can FTP from within the program. You choose: File, Publish Site, then select the FTP option. Your web host should have given the required information for the Remote Website Location and FTP directory fields. This would allow to just overwrite the website with the changed files.

What happens if you get scared half to death twice?

Many thanks Bob, maybe I should get a newer version. From what you say would make it an easier task. Have a star, might make someone elses life easier to. Thanks again, Regards
