I have bunch of XML files and I want to develop a keyword based search engine which parses those XML files.

Do you have any idea which is the best way to do the job? I mean on Linux? Should I use PHP? JAVA? Python??

Please let me know. I am very new to everything in this domain.

Thanks Varun

I don't think w3schools (though a very good site) will be able to answer the question on how to search through linux volumes and return text files with matching data, unless you were to open each one individually and search using xpath / xsl.

I would suggest posting this on the linux server forum forum54
