A client is getting the following error when using Excel 2000 on Citrix:

'Wfica caused an illegal operation and will be shutdown. Wfica caused a stack fault in module kernel32.dll at 017f:bfs7429f'

I think there was something on this site back in July...WFICA 32* Error

Several of my users are receiving the following error:

"WFICA 32* This program has perfomred an illegal operation and will shut down. If this problem persists contact the program vendor."

I can not narrow it down to any one thing, they can be using any number of applications and be on any of my 5 servers. I am running NT4.0 TSE SP6 MF1.8 SP2

Has anyone seen this??

This looks like a problem at the client end. Try clearing out their bitmap caches, or upgrading the clients.

Also, try running Filemon on the server (at a quiet time!) to see if you can pinpoint the files that are causing this.

Hope this helps

I think you were right! I had her use a different pc - no problems were encountered. Thanks!

Actually, to solve our problem we upgraded to the latest client - and wahlah - no more problems!
