Hello folks !

I have a small problem with my wd 100 Gig drive.
I have configured it as primary master drive (boot drive).
While detecting the drive configuration, the bios routines finds the drive and its config, but gives me an error message : primary master hard disk fail. f1 to continue etc etc...
When connecting a secondary disk on the ide channel, the drive works fine.

The mainboard is an msi 694DPro.

Has anyone an idea what this could be ?

Thanks alot !

Greetings !

Roland

Does the drive have a standalone setting? It should have been that way out of the box. Try putting the jumpers back to the way they were orginally. A+ MCP
